What we believe
At Gentle Giants Daycare, we’re committed to nurturing each child’s social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth, while encouraging independence, creativity and kindness. By valuing family partnerships and celebrating diversity, we create a welcoming community that inspires confidence and a lifelong love of learning.
Why we started
Gentle Giants began with a simple belief: that young children learn best in a small, calm, caring environment where they are truly known. We set out to build a centre that feels less like an institution and more like an extension of home, where every child is greeted by name, where routines are steady, and where families are genuine partners in their child’s early years.
Small, and staying small
- Up to sixteen children. Our centre operates with a small, intimate group size, which is what allows consistent routines and real educator–child relationships.
- Individualised support. A small group means an educator can actually notice the child who is struggling today.
- Open communication. We share regular daily updates, so you know how the day actually went.
- Play at the centre. Our program encourages curiosity, independence and social development through hands-on learning and play.
Licensing and safety
Gentle Giants is a licensed child care centre, and the safety and wellbeing of every child is our first priority. Our care is led by certified early childhood educators, and we maintain the health, safety and supervision standards required of a licensed facility. We’re always happy to talk through our policies and procedures with families.
