Nestled in Greendale, Gentle Giants is a daycare offering child care and a morning preschool program for 3- to 5-year-olds in a welcoming atmosphere.
We intentionally limit our group size to no more than sixteen children, because young children thrive when they feel safe, known, and cared for. Our educators take the time to build genuine relationships with each child, creating a familiar and welcoming environment where children feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn. This focused environment allows us to provide the consistency, individual attention, and meaningful relationships that help children truly thrive.

We are on Sumas Prairie Rd in Greendale, just off Highway 1, which makes us an easy morning stop for families right across the city. Many parents tell us the drive out of town is calmer than the cross-town trip they used to make, because it runs against the worst of the traffic.

Yes. Our dedicated team and consistent daily scheduling ensure your child sees familiar, trusted educators throughout the entire year.
We are Montessori-inspired. We combine elements of Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and nature-based learning into a flexible, child-centered routine.
Yes, we have a rest period from 12:45 PM to 2:15 PM. Children who do not sleep enjoy books and quiet activities.
Yes, twice daily (weather permitting), with nature activities in the morning and outdoor free play in the afternoon.

We are open Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
No. Our morning preschool learning block (9:00 AM – 10:30 AM) is built directly into full-day care, one room, one drop-off, and one consistent team.
Our entire centre is capped at sixteen children. This ensures a small, intimate setting with individual attention from familiar educators.
We care for children aged 3 to 5 years old. We do not offer infant, toddler, or before/after school programs.
