What we collect on this website
Enquiry, tour and registration forms
When you fill in a form on our Contact, Book a Tour or Registration pages, we ask for the parent or guardian’s name, email address and phone number, and for basic details about your child (such as first name and age or date of birth), your preferred start date and any message you choose to include.
Our forms are provided by LeadShaw, a customer-relationship platform that our marketing provider, All In One Marketing Pro, manages on our behalf. Submissions are stored in that platform and delivered to our email so we can reply.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the website is used. These tools collect information such as the pages you visit, the type of device and browser you use, approximate location (city level) and how you move around a page. Microsoft Clarity records anonymised session replays and heatmaps; it masks text entered into form fields by default. Neither tool is used to identify you by name.
Embedded maps
Our Contact and Book a Tour pages embed Google Maps. Google may set cookies and collect usage data when the map loads, under Google’s privacy policy.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry, arrange a tour and discuss availability
- To register your child and keep the records a licensed child care centre is required to keep
- To keep you informed about openings, closures and centre news you have asked about
- To understand how the website is used so we can improve it
- To keep the website secure
What we don’t do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not run advertising pixels or retargeting on this website.
- We do not collect information directly from children. Details about a child are provided by a parent or guardian, and we collect only what enrolment requires.
Children’s photos
Photos of children appear on this website only with written consent from a parent or guardian. If you would like a photo of your child removed, email us and we will take it down promptly.
Who we share information with
- Service providers that help us run the website and respond to families: LeadShaw / All In One Marketing Pro (forms and enquiry management), our web host, Google (Analytics, Maps) and Microsoft (Clarity). Some of these providers store data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
- Fraser Health licensing officers, who may review enrolment and attendance records during inspections as required under the Child Care Licensing Regulation.
- When the law requires it, for example in response to a court order.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to enrolment are kept for up to two years so we can follow up on availability, then deleted on request or as part of routine clean-up. Enrolment records are kept for the period required by the Child Care Licensing Regulation and our licensing conditions. Analytics data is retained according to the settings in Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
Cookies and how to limit them
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity use cookies or similar identifiers to recognise a returning browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on, and enable “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control in your browser. The website works without these cookies.
Your rights
Under PIPA you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent for its use (which may mean we can no longer provide a service that depends on it). Contact us using the details above. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Security
This website is served over HTTPS. Access to form submissions and enrolment records is limited to the licensee and staff who need it to do their work.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we collect or use personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top. The enrolment package you receive at registration contains its own consent forms, which apply alongside this policy.
